Please ensure that payment accompanies all applications or is made electronically at the time of the application as failure to do so will lead to delays in processing. We accept cheques (payable to 'IMHPS'), bank transfers and Paypal payments (our Paypal address is registrar@imhps.com). Please contact us for our bank details if you wish to pay this way. We regret we cannot accept card payments over the phone.

Timescale

All applications are usually processed within two weeks, although at busy times it may take up to three weeks. Express passports will be processed within five working days. Before applying for a passport please ensure you read and fully understand your legal responsibilities (click here to read) and the procedure for submitting applications (click here to read). Errors/incomplete paperwork will cause delays.

Express Passport Service (Payment by bank transfer only)

Passport will be turned around within five working days, as long as paperwork is correct. Please add £25 per passport to the stated fees.

Postage

All our passports are returned by Recorded Delivery and this is included in the price. Any items from outside the UK will incur an additional £12 charge which must be paid on top of the fees. This is necessary because of the recent increase in postage charges. Please note that there is one charge per order not per item.

Late registrations

Late registrations (ie made more than a year after the animal's birth) will incur an additional fee and in accordance with DEFRA regulations passports will be marked 'DUPLICATE'.
